When the book was still an idea, Mike was approached by co-author, Erik Weihenmayer, to provide an organizational structure that helped blend the two co-author’s styles and strengths. He then created content, coordinated the long and intense editing process and helped deliver the book to the publisher, on schedule and nearly fully completed. And in the second, Deluxe Edition, released two years later, he again served as a writer and editor.
